Position Summary
Major Responsibilities

Assistant Professor of Psychology to teach courses in the discipline, conduct research, and participate in department and college-wide governance. The successful candidate will be responsible teaching in their area of expertise, including a course designed to teach students research-focused scientific writing. Developing or continuing a program of active research, preferably involving undergraduate research assistants, is also expected. Additional responsibilities include engaging in service on departmental and college committees, student advisement and a commitment to undergraduate education.

Functional and Supervisory Relationships
Required Qualifications

Ph.D. with specialization in educational or school psychology by time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in Psychology with expertise in educational/school psychology with the ability to teach introductory psychology and at least two of the following courses: educational psychology, statistical methods (undergraduate), and a survey course on children with different disability conditions. Evidence of quality teaching at the undergraduate level and demonstration of an active research program also preferred.
